About Us

In the Beginning:

As a faculty member of Pound High School, in 1999 Frank Gabriele was given the assignment of webmaster for Pound High School. Denise and Frank Gabriele were asked to create a model web site for Pound High School. That is when the first Pound High School web site began. After 2011 the existing Pound High School closed and is no longer in existence. The Students from Pound were consolidated into the Central High School.

The Growing Years:

Over the ten year period that followed the beginning of the PHS web, Frank and Denise Gabriele created the Pound High Photo Gallery. The site contained photo galleries that included photographs of the PHS students and the faculty. All the photographs were taken by Denise and Frank and the information was prepared by Denise and Frank Gabriele. Later the Gabriele's used the gallery site to store more information about Pound and historical information about Pound High School and Pound, VA.

In addition to both the Pound High School Web Site and the Pound High School Photo Gallery, Denise and Frank created and maintain the Pound Alumni site. The alumni site is for all people from Pound. The site includes all students that attended a Pound, VA School. Thus the site includes Christopher Gist High School students as well as Pound High School students.

Where we're going:

We will continue to maintain this site and the alumni site for as long as we are able. We do not have a staff to assist us. We currently have other responsibilities and will make changes and updates to this site as time permits.
